Open a shared mailbox in a browser

  • Sign in to your account in Outlook on the web
  • Click your name in the top-right corner
  • Click Open another mailbox
  • Type the email address in the search bar then click Open
  • The mailbox will open in a new tab

Open a shared mailbox in the desktop (PC) version of Outlook

  • Open Outlook
  • Click File in the top-left corner
  • Click Add Account
  • Type email address in the search bar then click Open
  • On the Sign In window, change the name of the email to your FSUID
    • Ex. as-help@fsu.edu to yourFSUID@fsu.edu
  • Enter your password and click Sign in
  • Complete the 2Duo Authorization
  • Select “Sign in for the app only”
  • Restart Outlook

Outlook Open a shared mailbox in the desktop (Mac) version of Outlook

  • Open Outlook
  • Select the Tools tab
  • Click Accounts
  • Click the + symbol in the bottom-left, then New Account
  • Type email address in the search bar then click Continue
  • On the Sign In window, change the name of the email to your FSUID
    • Ex. as-help@fsu.edu to yourFSUID@fsu.edu
  • Enter your password and click Sign in
  • Complete the 2Duo Authorization
  • Select “Sign in for the app only”
  • Restart Outlook
