FSU Mandatory Password Reset - FAQ

I changed my FSUID, per FSU's Password Policy, what happens to my Keychain?

  • If your network account password is changed while a Mac is offline (not connected to FSU campus network - locally or via FSU-VPN), and the user attempts to log in when returning to the network, the Mac will be unable to unlock the login keychain.
    • OS X will prompt the user to update the keychain password.
    • Simply enter your previous FSUID password and the keychain will update to the current FSUID password.
    • NOTE: If the user cannot provide the previous password, there’s an option to create a new keychain.
